About UsThe Power of Women Working Together
We are a welcoming group of active, engaged Sunshine Coast women sharing fun activities, continuous learning and fellowship. We support local women in pursuit of further education, address social issues impacting women in our community and promote positive changes through local and national initiatives.
Members of CFUW Sunshine Coast have promoted further education of women living on the Sunshine Coast and are proud to have raised funds for 200 Bursaries totaling over $224,000 since 1990. Locally, we partner with other community groups, such as the Sunshine Coast Foundation, Capilano University, Community Services, Libraries and other non-profit organizations to support awareness and positive change on social issues impacting women.
When you join CFUW Sunshine Coast, you are a member of the Bursary Society, are eligible to participate in our Interest Groups and receive our monthly newsletter. You also become part of CFUW, a national organization with over 95 Clubs and 7500 members from across Canada. CFUW is a leading national equality-seeking organization advocating for the advancement of the status of women, human rights and empowerment of women to achieve educational and economic equality and social justice. We welcome all women who share our values! A university degree is not required. |
