One of the wonderful benefits of membership in CFUW is participation in our
Interest Groups. The interest groups meet monthly or bi-monthly, September through June. Sign-up occurs in September and October but members may
join at any time. New groups are added when there is sufficient interest.
Advocacy Study Group: We want to build a foundation for CFUW-SC to
increase the effectiveness of our advocacy role and extend our impact
through partnerships (as set out in the Strategic Aims of CFUW). The
process will evolve as the group identifies logical next steps. To begin, we
will study the Sunshine Coast Community Foundation "Vital Signs' reports in
an effort to identify issues where we might take action for the benefit of our
community. Although we will likely meet face-to-face at times, we may also
decide to hold conversations electronically. Meeting times to be determined.
