Bursary Fundraising
CFUW Sunshine Coast is involved in a wide variety of fundraising activities to raise funds for bursaries for women on the Sunshine Coast. Our success in fundraising for this worthwhile cause is a direct result of the generous contributions from current and past members. Fundraising activities have included the Ivan Sayers historical fashion show, Spring Teas, Christmas swag creation and sales, Tracing Footsteps, a virtual art exhibition, Cabi clothing sales, the IGA Fundraising Program and the Tru Earth Fundraising Program.
Over the past five years CFUW Sunshine Coast members have raised over $24,000 through these fun and entertaining activities. 'Friends of the Bursary Society', club members, and non-members have contributed almost $25,000 through personal donations to the Bursary Society. We appreciate support from local businesses, other non-profit organizations, 'In Memoriam' donations and bequests from former members. The CFUW Sunshine Coast partners with the Sunshine Coast Foundation through a bursary endowment fund that continues to grow and generate funding for bursaries.
Our purpose to promote further education for women on the Sunshine Coast is clearly an important issue to our members and our community.

IGA Fundraising Program
Progressive Fundraising is generously offering us 4% back when our members shop at IGA stores throughout BC using a special fundraising card. The card looks like a gift card. It costs $1. and is empty until you fill it. Once you fill it at the customer service counter you can use it as cash at checkout. There is no expiry date on the funds you add to the card and they can be refilled as often as you like.
This is how it works:
