CFUW National
Get involved in your community. CFUW members are leaders in their communities, contributing to local issues as well as participating in national campaigns. As a CFUW member you join a group of women who debate current issues, vote on resolutions, contribute to local causes, and take part in nation-wide campaigns on issues that matter to them. CFUW members are also the champions of raising close to $1 million to provide scholarships to women attending post-secondary education.

The Government of Canada, through the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada (HSMBC), recognizes significant people, places and events that shaped the country. This is one way of helping Canadians and youth connect with their past. An unveiling ceremony was held for the presentation of a commemorative plaque marking the recognition by HSMBC, of CFUW's founding as an event of National Significance.
Through this notable recognition the HSMBC celebrates CFUW's 100 years of decisive leadership for recognition of women's equality. The plaque will be located in Winnipeg Centre where CFUW held its first meeting. |
